Postdoctoral Fellow
Employment Status: Full-Time/Salary Exempt
Pay: $65,000-$80,000/year
Start Date: Monday, August 5th, 2024 (+/- 2 weeks).
Job Overview: The Pediatric Psychological Associate at Leiya will work closely with our licensed psychologists to assist with treatment planning and direct intervention for patients and their families.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assists in providing evidence-based outpatient psychotherapy to youth, parents, and families.
- Works with Lead Psychologists to create and implement treatment plans that include interventions to meet the psychosocial needs of the patient/family.
- Participates in weekly staff conferences to select, plan, and evaluate treatment programs.
- Consults with multidisciplinary staff regarding diagnosis, strengths, and deficits as determined by psychological and neuropsychological assessment and evaluation.
- Prepares treatment plans and case summaries, and maintains ongoing confidential records.
- Charts patients’ treatment and progress in accordance with state, federal, and facility regulations and guidelines and in keeping with accepted community standards.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by the Leadership Team.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Applicants must have a doctoral degree in psychology (Psy.D. or Ph.D.) from an accredited program by start date.
- Eligible to work as a Psychological Associate in the state of California.
- Relevant coursework or training in child development, psychopathology, counseling techniques, and therapeutic interventions.
- Previous experience or internships in pediatric mental health settings.
Knowledge of psychological assessment tools, treatment modalities, and ethical guidelines for working with children and families. - Thorough knowledge of state regulations and APA guidelines and standards with regard to ethics, treatment, patient rights, and confidentiality.
- Able to work collaboratively with multiple health professionals in a busy and complex environment using tact, diplomacy, and discipline.
Strong charting/documentation skills. - Multicultural awareness and sensibility.
- Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds.
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
- Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage priorities and work flow.
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.

- 23 Clinical Hours (in-person)
- 8 Administrative Hours
