Frequently Asked Questions

Visiting Leiya is like visiting the offices of seven practitioners all under one roof. Our multidisciplinary team includes a pediatrician, clinical psychologists, neuropsychologists, occupational therapists, educational therapists, nurse practitioners, and parent coaches. In addition to collaborating weekly on each case, the Leiya team embraces technology and measurement based tools to ensure that each family receives the highest quality of care possible.

For families, this means better outcomes in a fraction of the time – without driving all over town or signing up for dozens of waitlists. For doctors, this means peace of mind knowing that patients you refer to Leiya are in good hands every step of the way.

Our Process

Our team works with children from age two all the way up through college. We have experts for each age, allowing us to recommend developmentally appropriate care. Focus is on early intervention as we believe it is key to preventing mental health issues later in life.

Leiya works with children with a variety of mental and behavioral health concerns. We routinely help families with symptoms such as dysregulation, sensory challenges, and school problems. Common diagnoses that we assess and treat include ADHD, autism, learning disorders, anxiety, depression, and OCD.

Leiya is not the best fit for children or teens struggling with active eating disorders, substance abuse or acute suicidality. In these cases, we refer families to practitioners who can better meet their needs.

The Leiya care team offers a variety of evidence-based services including:

  • Psychotherapy
  • Medication Management
  • Educational Therapy
  • Occupational Therapy
  • Parent Coaching
  • Skill-building Groups
  • Community Workshops

Learn More

Leiya is an out-of-network provider, but we encourage families to work directly with their insurance providers to request reimbursement. We provide superbills for our care that can be submitted to insurance providers. Families can also use Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) to pay for care.

Our team’s goal is to work with your existing team, including your medical provider. Once a release is signed, our providers reach out to pediatricians and other care providers to connect and collaborate. Whether completing an assessment or sharing a care treatment plan, we value communication with community providers as a key aspect of our care model.

Each Leiya space has been carefully designed to set families and practitioners up for success, and the majority of treatments are delivered onsite. We understand that it isn’t always convenient or possible for families to come in for care though, so we offer HIPAA compliant virtual care when necessary. Frequently, parent sessions are offered virtually to allow flexibility during the work day.

Our care package model provides transparent pricing for coordinated care. Each package includes clinical services, personal communication with your community, care progress meetings, and day to day communication within your team. Packages include 3 months of care as research suggests that evidence based mental health interventions are most impactful during this time frame. Our process of defining goals, measuring outcomes, and assessing progress every 12 weeks helps families see improvements quickly.
