Comprehensive Whole Child Evaluations

Insightful Pediatric Assessments – Less Time, More Clarity

It’s essential for clinicians and caregivers to have a thorough understanding of a child’s strengths and challenges before beginning any evidence-based treatment plan. At Leiya, we’ve focused on research based methods, use of technology, and creation of a multidisciplinary team to make it happen. From intake call to feedback session, the assessment process weaves together our team’s collective knowledge and experience.

Our goal is to provide each individual with an understanding of their unique challenges and strengths. Results go far beyond diagnosis and individualized feedback sessions allow us to share our findings in depth.  Simply put, our goal is to give each family a clear picture of the best path forward.

Is it really possible to deliver a more thorough assessment in a fraction of the time?
Leiya offers a variety of assessments designed by our clinicians to address common behavioral concerns and questions. Our process is evidence-based, standardized, and efficient. We know that assessment before care is important and we’ve designed our process to allow families to get the answers they need in a time efficient manner.

Ages 4 Years – Early Adulthood

Our most comprehensive assessment, the multidisciplinary assessment combines evaluation by our integrated team – neuropsychology, clinical psychology, and occupational therapy. This assessment is appropriate for evaluation of ADHD, level 1 ASD, learning disability, anxiety, OCD, and depression. Results are shared with caretakers and their child within one week of completed testing and a written report is available within 2-4 weeks.

Ages 3-7 Years

Our early childhood assessment addresses concerns regarding dysregulated behavior, parenting stress, school goodness of fit, and other behavioral challenges causing significant impairment in the family structure. Integrating evaluations from an early childhood psychologist and an occupational therapist, MECA aims to evaluate each child’s unique temperament, motor and sensory profile, and caretakers’ parenting style. Emphasis is placed on understanding the ‘why’ behind difficult behaviors and offering skill building solutions for families.

Results are shared with the family at the end of testing and a written report is available in 2 weeks.

Ages 5 years – Young Adulthood

Our psychological assessment is appropriate for concerns regarding mood disorders – anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, selective mutism, and specific phobia in individuals not requiring a comprehensive neuropsychological assessment.

This focused assessment by our anxiety specialist helps individuals who are struggling with anxiety symptoms receive proper diagnosis and prompt access to care. Our team gathers information from family and community  and evaluates each child in person. Emphasis is placed on gaining a holistic understanding of each child’s unique situation before committing to a course of treatment.

Many families arrive at Leiya with a full assessment and are ready to jump into care. Our translation process involves a comprehensive review of outside records, an in person meeting at the clinic , and a follow-up session to consider appropriate care options at Leiya. This one week process allows families seeking care to move efficiently into an integrated care plan.
